There a lot of big words in the name of the product but let’s break it down with some wise digestible words from L’Oreal.
WHAT IS CENTELLA ASIATICA?
Centella asiatica is an herb, also known as tiger grass. Centella asiatica is used in traditional Chinese medicine. When it comes to skin care, you can find tiger grass in cica cream, an anti-aging moisturizer. In fact, cica cream gets its name from centella asiatica (the “c” from centella and the “ca” from asiatica). If you don’t see the words centella asiatica (or tiger grass) in the formula, then it’s not a cica cream. It’s as simple as that!
First thing first, this product was overwhelming for my skin; it couldn’t take how heavy, thick,and oily it is. Certainly it was made for older women who needs the extra boost in moisturize, anti-skin wrinkles, and firmness to make the skin more tone, smooth, and softer.
The direction to apply morning and evening is a bit too much given the small product quantity (1.7 fl. oz) in the packaging, and the price point of $17.99. It’s best use at night, as a night cream, allowing the skin to fully absorb and maximize the delivery of the cream. When used in the morning, the additional layering of makeup will only make the products sitting on your face even heavier, making it unbearable.
Overnight, as the cream worked its magic, after cleansing the face the next morning, there a more noticeable, unrecognizable, illuminating facial glow. This glow that added an additional layer of moisturize and a more toner, smoother, softer skin that last for 2 DAYS!
